We had a lot of fun for Halloween dressed in our Renaissance.  Quite a few people had to stop and check us out.  This is a picture of Abbey with her best friend Izzie.  Abbey came back this week after seeing our dog jackets that Cris made and had this one already picked out to buy.

Our friend Ken made
a great magician.

He has worms

     "Bat Queen"

Made a very energetic showing.
She was everywhere!
Zak let her know she was not welcome
at our booth.

October 17, 2009
Zak and Cris had a great time at the 2009 Harvest Faire at the Red Barn next door to the Coleman Fish Hatchery.  We met lots of great people who took home pet treats and accessories for their 4-legged friends.

Meet Richard and Rocky.  They visited us at the Redding Farmer's Market on October 3, 2009. They take great care of each other.  Rocky might be small, but he has a great heart and lots of happy barks for all.

August 22, 2009 we spent the day at the first Zucchini Festival held at Anderson River Park.  This was our first craft faire and we had a great day.  We introduced our healthy pet snacks and doggy ties to the public for the first time.

September 12-13, 2009 we participated in the 29th annual Honeybee Festival in Palo Cedro, CA.  It was a lot of fun and we met many new friends and pet owners.  We sold lots of healthy snacks and ties for our doggy friends. Zak made some new four-legged friends and even took part in the dog agility course.  He learned to jump over hurdles, walk the high-bar, teeter the totter, and run through tunnels and chutes!  Check out a couple of his new friends with their snappy ties!

Meet one of Zak's new friends.  This Icelandic Sheepdog happily modeled one of our ties all weekend long.  Like the Australian Shepherd and the Border Collie, this breed is a working dog, bred to aid its owners with their livestock.  When not working, spending time with their people is their favorite sport, especially if it involves chasing a ball or stick!

And here is another one of Zak's friends.  This snappy little dresser really knows fashion!  Although he is tiny, he has a big heart and loves to show off his new duds wherever he goes.  His mom tried to put a bow on his head, but he was having none of that and insisted on a masculine tie!  Many people think that Yorkshire Terriers are delicate, but appearances can be deceiving.  Yorkies were bred to keep rats and mice at bay on the farms in England.  They are tough and scrappy and enjoy a challenge.  Loyalty is their middle name and even though their size may handicap them in a scuffle with a bigger dog, they'll do their level best to protect their people.

Unfortunately, we didn't get any pics of Zak in his finery.  He was too busy meeting and greeting to sit still long enough!  You know those Australian Shepherds; they just have to stay constantly busy.
